Netflix has released the trailer for the “Stranger Things 5” finale, which debuts in theaters and on the streamer Dec. 31. Titled “The Rightside Up,” the finale is the eighth episode in the show’s fifth and final season.

Stranger Things fans are hoping Netflix will make the show’s stage play, The First Shadow, available to stream. The show’s finale season featured several references to the play, which is currently playing in London and New York City. Stranger Things' Season 5 has been review bombed on Rotten Tomatoes, as Will's coming out became the lowest-rated episode on IMDb.

The 23-year-old Wolfhard spent the past decade making the hit Netflix series, which premiered in 2016 and aired its finale on Wednesday, revealing the fates of the entire Hawkins gang. Aside from his efforts to collapse the Upside Down on Stranger Things, his work has been very SNL -adjacent.
