A group of "Stranger Things" fans are not ready for the story to be over. The viral theory dubbed Conformity Gate on social media proposes there is still one more episode left of the blockbuster Netflix hit beyond the two-hour series finale that was released on New Year's Eve.

Well, here we are. It’s 8:10 PM ET, and I have been refreshing Netflix to confirm what most of us already knew.

It claims that “Episode 8: The Rightside Up” — with a 2-hour and 8-minute runtime — was not the true ending of the series.

Stranger Things fans are hoping Netflix will make the show’s stage play, The First Shadow, available to stream.
